Senior Staff Scientist (Spectroscopy)

Dr Bob Keighley has been a Product Support Scientist in the Scientific Instruments industry for nearly 30 years. His expertise includes Analytical Ultracentrifugation, Microfiltration, Particle Counting, Capillary Electrophoresis and DNA Sequencing, but for the past 15 years he has been focussed primarily on spectroscopic techniques, mainly UV, FTIR and TOC, but also Atomic Spectroscopy including ICP, AA and EDX. He spent 12 years at Beckman and 11 years at Varian before joining Shimadzu in 2010. In addition to his sales support and training roles he has instigated and patented instrument design improvements and accessories, and works closely with many supplier companies including Pike, Hellma, Specac, Harrick and Starna Scientific.
